Is there a way to restart a Windows 10 PC but NOT have it install waiting updates?


Sometimes, the updating process takes over 1/2 hour and my PC is out of commission during that time. I can control the times of the automatic updates, but there are times when I have to restart my PC in the middle of an important work session. However, when I do that, if there is an update pending, the restart triggers the update installation and I am hung up for a long time.


I would like to be able to restart my computer but do so in such a way that it will NOT install any pending updates.
